Commercial Projects

Vermont's NBC 5 News Affiliate chose Scott + Partners to turn a former warehouse into a new vibrant work space and television news studio. We maximized daylight in the interior space and strategically reduced ambient noise allowing the news to be reported while creating a clean and modern looking interior. We worked with ReArch Company to renovate the 25,000 space in 7 months for a 3.9 million dollar budget. The folks at NBC 5 and Hearst Stations can now produce, report, and broadcast the news 24/7 from the new NBC 5 Studio.

Beta Technologies wished to renovate their aircraft research, fabrication, and work space while it remained completely occupied and functional. Scott + Partners worked with Studio 3 architects on a multi-phase project to program, design, and transform a two story building that wraps around a high-bay hanger to meet the needs of the company without halting normal operations.

The visual connection between the hangar floor and upper work areas was maintained with interior windows and an open office layout. Designers, engineers, and workshops are located together to simplify the research and design process while the assembly floor is only one flight below.

With a streamlined budget, demanding timeline, and the challenge of revitalizing a 135,000 square-foot building that delivers the vision of the company’s founder and CEO, Scott + Partners started the first phase in 2007 and completed the second phase in 2011. The building is certified by the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Green Building Rating System™, and its many remarkable features include an indoor tennis and basketball court, 150-person theater, organic café, and a retractable roof.

In 2010 the Heritage Automotive Group was looking to expand their automotive service, sales, and parts deliver business. They embarked on a multi-phase and multi-building expansion project at their South Burlington site.  The new state of the art 35,000sf service building, completed in 2012, offers 27 service bays, 3 express lube bays and 2 alignment bays, as well as a 7,000 square foot two story parts storage area. Customers enter the service drop off area through a high speed roll up overhead door and wait for their car in one of the fully furnished customer lounges.
