Project Scope
Renovate and expand existing 1960’s municipal office building. Upgrade all finishes and systems; virtually double the total square footage from 4,000sf to 7,600sf. Provide new sense of municipal identity.
Design Challenges & Solutions
- Expand existing 1960’s ranch style municipal building to provide needed square footage.
- Add clock tower to enhance municipal identity and provide location for town-owned historic clock.
- Bring systems and spaces into compliance with building codes.
- Make entire building (including public meeting space) accessible to all persons.
- Maintain rigorous budget discipline to stay within voter approved funding.
